Our Sunday School provides an atmosphere of loving instruction, joyful activity, and faithful learning for children ages two through high school. Enriched with special music and all-school activities, our children and youth delight in learning about God’s glory and Jesus’ love. Committed, carefully trained, enthusiastic teachers share the joy of the Christian faith with their students on Sunday mornings from 9:25-10:25 am. Children ages two through Kindergarten sing traditional Sunday School songs, enjoy activities, and learn Bible stories from creation to the death and resurrection of Jesus. Our first through sixth graders continue learning about God through the Bible, focusing upon the weekly Gospel reading, as well as supplementing their learning with discussions on Christian life and participation in service projects. Youth in grades Seven through Nine meet on Sunday mornings for Confirmation. Tenth through Twelfth grade youth either serve in the Sunday School program as musicians or teachers' aides for the younger kids, or they meet with our Youth Minister weekly for discussion about a variety of topics - Bible study, learning about different faith traditions, and other topics that help them to mature in their faith by learning to see the world through the Lutheran lens - FaithLens. Our Junior Choir, Middle and Senior High Choir, the St. John's Singers, Family Bell Choir, Vacation Bible School and weekly God’s Talk for Children during worship encourage our children to develop a deep and abiding faith in God. To register for Sunday School, please call the Church Office at (610) 933-3947 or just come on Sunday morning at 9:15 am. We’re looking forward to learning and growing with you! |
