Since confirmation – say it with me – is NOT graduation, our 10th-12th graders have several options for the Sunday School hour at St. John’s. Many of our young people are eager to share God’s love with the younger children, so they volunteer to be Sunday School teachers or aides. This is a wonderful ministry – and volunteers for our Sunday School classrooms are always welcome! Some of our young people also provide musical accompaniment for the Sunday School opening.
Other of our young people feel drawn to FaithLens, the weekly learning and discussion hour where we will eat, talk, and study together as we look at the world and our lives through the perspective of our faith. Whether the curriculum is ethics, a Bible study, faith role models, or current events, we continue working through the DEEP QUESTIONS.
